Lakeside View Lodge ReviewDuring our recent stay at Lakeside View Lodge, we arrived with high expectations, particularly given its allure as a luxury retreat. While the lodge itself is modern and airy, boasting lovely views and a pleasant layout, we encountered several issues that challenged the notion of value for the £300 price tag for two nights. Upon entering, we were greeted by an unpleasant stale smell, necessitating ample ventilation. the cleanliness left much to be desired; The presence of dog hair on the carpet and furniture was disappointing. The hot tub, rather than being a feature of relaxation, presented us with non-functioning lights. We also faced operational inefficiencies, with check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 10 AM, which felt overly constricting for a luxury experience. On the upside, the amenities included tea and coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV, and the dining table and outdoor seating provided a nice touch for relaxing moments. Cleanliness issues and a lack of comfort in certain areas cast doubts about the overall value proposition.
